Choosing Stones That Speak: The Meaning Behind My Jewellery

One of the most magical parts of creating jewellery is selecting the stones. Every piece I make starts with the stone, its color, texture, and natural character guide the design, and its energy and symbolism add a layer of meaning to the jewellery you wear.
Why Stones Matter
I work with stones like labradorite, sunstone, moss agate, malachite, kyanite, pyrite, quartz, sodalite, and chalcedony. Each stone is unique, with its own inclusions, shimmer, and natural patterns. I love that no two are the same, it makes each piece one-of-a-kind.
Beyond their physical beauty, stones carry meanings and energy that can inspire, ground, and empower the wearer. Choosing the right stone is about finding a balance between aesthetics, intuition, and intention.

Moonstone: Brings intuition emotional balance, and new beginnings; a stone of magic and inspiration.
Labradorite: A mystical stone that encourages clarity, intuition, and transformation.
Sunstone: Radiates warmth, joy, and confidence.
Moss Agate: Connects you to nature, growth, and balance.
Malachite: Helps release old patterns and encourages positive change.
Kyanite: Supports communication, truth, and calm energy.
Pyrite: A protective stone that encourages strength and abundance.
Sodalite: Boosts logic, focus, and harmony.
Rose Quartz: Symbol of love, compassion, and emotional healing.

How I Choose Stones for Each Piece
The process begins with looking at each stone carefully:
1. Colour & Pattern: Some stones speak to me with their vibrancy or unique textures.
2. Energy & Intuition: I hold the stone and feel what it wants to become.
3. Purpose of the Piece: For rings, necklaces, or bracelets, I consider how the stone will interact with the design.
4. Storytelling: Every stone has a story, and I want that story to come through in the final piece.
It's a mix of technical skill, artistic intuition, and a little bit of magic. Every piece becomes a collaboration between the stone and my design.
